I honed my skills in portrait workshops and working for a photographic wholesale company. As we were the official distributors of Elinchrom lighting, I practiced using the systems so I could offer great customer service to professional photographers.
Great opportunities came with assisting world-class photographers. I got to understand their passion and how to develop my skills even further. Getting expert advice on how to further my photography skills was invaluable.
I went on to study the Diploma of Photography and understand how to capitalise on my passion and skills. This translated into me being a business-focussed photographer.
My aim is to capture the personality you want to express in your photos for exceptional portrait photography in Melbourne.
I have a fully portable equipment set-up that allows me to photograph my clients wherever they want, indoors or outdoors. My lighting gear consists of three lighting stands, five flash heads, translucent umbrella, silver and gold umbrella, silver and gold reflectors, translucent scrim. I mainly use a Canon EOS 5D and have three main lenses in my kit; 50mm f1.4mm, 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200 f.2.8. If I need any other lenses, I’ll hire them from my main equipment partner.
I also have a range of film cameras if you want that old fashioned look; Mamiya 675, 2 Minolta SRT-101s and lenses, Pentax, old Kodaks and more.
